‘Swept Away’ is a mid-century modern styled high-quality print, of Johnny and June Atomic, a retro couple dancing by a record player from the mid-century modern era, by the artist Scooter. All prints are professionally printed, packaged, and shipped. Choose from multiple sizes and mediums.

I believe every person’s heart desires to be swept away in the arms of the person they love.  When I was animating for Disney, we had a swing dancing craze hit the studio where everyone was learning how to swing dance.  My wife Chrysti and I had a lot of fun learning swing dancing with all our friends. 

Around the same time Disney had just finished building its latest cruise ship and was offering everyone in Disney Feature Animation some amazing discounts to try it out.  So Chrysti and I, and several of our good friends, took an amazing cruise to the Bahamas.  One-night Chrysti and I snuck off to be alone and found ourselves dancing outside on the top deck of the ship, under a full moon, with a live band playing swing music.  Even though there were other couples swing dancing we felt like we were the only ones. We had a blast that night dancing under the stars and making an awesome memory.  This piece was inspired by that special night and celebrates those romantic times when you find yourself getting swept off of your feet and lost in the eyes of your forever dance partner!

For Double Matted Luster Fine Art Paper Prints add 4 inches to each side for the Double Matte. Example:  an 11x14” print will have a Matte sized 15x18”

*Please note: the 24x34” and larger sized luster paper prints will not come Matted, and will include a 0.5" white border around the print. These larger prints ship rolled in a tube.
