"EXTRAVAGANT LOVE" ORIGINAL PAINTING

"Extravagant Love” is an original painting of a 1967 VW Bus. It’s a 36x48" original acrylic painting on canvas and float mounted in a 2" deep black wooden frame, ready to hang by the artist Scooter.

So why is this painting called “Extravagant Love” and what does extravagant love look like?  Here’s why and what it looks like to me.  When I was 17 and a senior in high school I started the dating the most beautiful girl, inside and out, I had ever met.  Her name was Chrysti and I eventually married her.  We’ve been together for over 33 amazing years. She’s the most incredible person I’ve ever met and love spending my life with her. I feel like I’m the luckiest man alive and truly believe she’s a gift from God.  I’m so grateful to Him for putting someone in life that likes and loves me for who I am. I love her with everything in my heart! I consider her one of the greatest gifts I have ever received.  In my heart, God placing her in my life is a picture of His extravagant love for me.

On my 40^th birthday Chrysti had a BIG surprise for me.  She had that day all planned out!  The morning started off with her telling me to get ready, my brothers were picking me up for an afternoon golf game.  I’m horrible at golf but really love it!  After the game I was driven back home where I was surprised by a full house of over 50 of my family and closest friends.  It was the best time of celebration and being with all the people I love!  About an hour into the party my wife took me by the hand and lead me, and everyone else, outside to our driveway.  In the middle of the driveway was a small red toy VW bus.  As I picked it up she said really wanted to get me an actual red VW bus but she wasn’t able to find one.  Soooo she hoped I’d be happy with a blue one. That’s when my dad drove up in my birthday present.  It was a beautiful white and blue 1967 VW bus, my dream car!  I had wanted a VW bus ever since I was a kid and now I had one of my very own.  It was truly a dream come true.  Chrysti had surprised me with the biggest birthday present I had ever received.  Extravagant love looks like someone giving you what might seem like an impossible, over the top dream come true gift because they love you! 

I hope when you look at this painting it puts a smile on your face and joy in your heart knowing that you are the focus of God’s extravagant love!
